Our primary spring project is our building and redesigning of our Edible Garden and Schoolyard Habitat, scheduled for April, 21st and 22nd, 2006. Campus enhancements and beautification projects have been very successful for us in the past, thanks to the generous support of businesses, such as yours, our school parents and our hard working students. This year, we are excited to build our Edible Garden and Schoolyard Habitat to help foster ecological education, integrate nature/habitats and ecology into our core curriculum (to help enhance grammar, literacy, math, science and social skills). Franklin School is an exciting, student-centered K-8 school located in rolling hills at the base of the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range. Our school district serves the towns of Loomis and Granite Bay. Our campus is secluded and beautiful. With park-like grounds, Franklin School is a safe and attractive site on which our 700 children can become actively engaged in, and excited about, their own education.
Over the years Franklin has had a great deal of support from their staff, parents and children. Now we are looking to the community for support. Franklin School will be holding our annual Fall Festival on October 28, 2000. The festival not only is a fun family event, but a substantial fundraiser for the schools’ Parent Teacher Club.
